Street Angels

Street Angels is a community-based initiative led by New Life Baptist Church. We first began in July 2016 thanks to funding from the police and crime commissioner for North Yorkshire and other generous sources.

Dedicated volunteers from all parts of the community go out every Saturday night from 10 pm until 4 am. Based  in the town hall we patrol in groups of 3 around various parts of the town covered by CCTV, offering  reassurance and help to the local night-time economy .We give out flip flops and water and can provide basic first aid to those in need, We also give out the odd lolly pop or two!

Northallerton Street Angels can be summarised as:

  • Committed volunteers

  • Community spirit

  • Providing a safe place for those in need

  • Dedicated patrols at weekends

  • Working with the night-time economy

  • Demonstrating the love of God

  • Helping keep Northallerton safe

We are always looking for new volunteers from age 18 upwards to join us in this rewarding scheme. We work on a rota basis each volunteer doing just one shift a month. If you think you have what it takes to be a angel or for  more information please contact us through our website
